On Saturday August 13th more than 80 artists, scribblers and fun
seekers converged on the sidewalks of Historic Downtown Tehachapi
for the 10th annual Chalk on the Walk sponsored by Tehachapi Valley
Arts Association. Sight seers were treated to dazzling displays
ranging from fanciful sea creatures to a dog playing fetch in space.
Many local area businesses helped bring this event to life with
their prizes and monetary contributions. We would like to extend a
great big thank you for their generosity. The proceeds from this
event go to providing Tehachapi schools with art supplies and
scholarships. This year’s “Art Angels” were: Gallery ‘N’ Gifts,
Tehachapi Valley Arts Association, Crossroads Gallery, The Spirited
Bead & Klew’s Gallery, The Loop, Witt’s Everything for the Office,
Union Bank Tehachapi, Main Street Tehachapi, Jennifer’s Terrace:
