WHAT MOTIVATES YOUTO CREATE?
Other than it feels like it is something that I need to express, when I see other enjoying my work it motivates me to keep going.
DOES ART HELP YOU IN OTHER AREAS OF YOUR LIFE?
I think that when you are able to create something that you enjoy so much, it gives you a sense of well being and pride which carries over in your personal life.
HOW HAS YOUR STYLE CHANGED OVER THE YEARS?
When I first started working in the oil painting medium I did mostly pallet knife work. Over the years my style has changed dramatically and now do much more brush work.
HOW DO YOU STAY INSPIRED AND MOTIVATED TO CREATE NEW ART?
It seems like I am always inspired and motivated. I can be working on one piece and a new idea hits me and I can’t wait to start it.

HOW DID YOU BECOME INTERESTED IN YOUR CRAFT/ARTWORK STYLE?
I guess that I was born with an interest in arts and crafts. As far back as I remember I was always busy with some type of art project. I came from a very musical family but was always drawn more to arts and craft activities than the musical side. In school, art classes were always my favorite classes and In college I studied color and design which really started influencing my artist goals.
ARE YOU SELF-TAUGH OR DID YOU LESSONS?
When I first began working in Oils, I was privileged to take a few workshops with a couple of successful and well known Arizona artist. My style has changed over the years and the work I do today is pretty much self taught.
DO YOU WORK IN MULTIPLE MEDIUMS? WHAT IS YOUR FAVORTE?
I think I have tried just about every medium there is and thru the years have done quilting and jewelry design, but I always go back to oil painting. I do enjoy working in the watercolor medium on occasions.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WORKING IN R CRAFT?
I’ve been dabbling in some form of art all my life but began my work in oils about 50 years ago.
WHAT INSPIES YOU TO CREAT?
I not sure I know what actually inspires me to create. I just know that it is something that comes from within that needs to be expressed.
DO YOU CREATE EVERY DAY?
I usually spend some time at my easel every day and some times a good part my day.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING TO CREATE?
I love painting many different subjects but landscapes and florals seem to be the subjects I enjoy the most.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORIE PART OF CREATING?
It is the relaxation and the ability to mentally travel through beautiful scenery as I work.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TIME OF DAY TO CREATE?
When I first started painting, my Son was young and took up most of my days so I usually painted late at night. Now I spend most of my painting time during the day.
