Both my grandmothers and my mom sewed clothing.

My grandmother was a professional seamstress. I leaned how to sew from them and then from classes in school.

I am usually sewing on something everyday. My favorite is doing alteration wedding gowns and seeing the brides smiles and gratitude when their gown fits how they hoped it would.

I love making items for others that I sell at the gallery and vendor events.

I’ve been sewing since childhood and I’d say I’ve learned alot about wedding gown and bridesmaids alterations from looking up techniques on the internet.

Looking back I wish I had learned more from my grandmother.
